  • Everything that is great about Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Steelers symbolize everything that is great about Pittsburgh. More than any other team they dictate the emotion and feelings of the city they represent. It is a religion and once you become a Steelers fan you realize that you can’t imagine yourself any other way.

  • People follow them with blind faith

Thirty years after the Immaculate Reception, Gerela's Gorillas, Franco's Italian Army and the Steel Curtain, Steeler fans remember it like it was yesterday. "The Chief" with his cigar, "The Emperor" Chas Noll. What other team would allow Myron Cope on the air, let alone make him a fixture who would go on to invent the Terrible Towel? Forget getting a deal done in Pittsburgh the Monday after a loss. The Steelers are more than a team, they are a religion. People follow them with blind faith that another dynasty is just around the corner.

  • They keep doing what they do best

I've lived in this city for almost ten years. And if you've lived in this city as long as I have you have to love the Steelers. They signify everything this city stands for. They are a hardworking and tough team. Just like the people of Pittsburgh. Sure, the team and people might fall on tough times from time to time, but what do they do? They get back up on their feet and keep doing what they do best. And that is what makes me love the Pittsburgh Steelers. Their persistent attitude in the face of adversary.

  • Everything that's right

Only NFL franchise without cheerleaders. Logo on just one side of the helmet. Named after a locally-rooted profession. The team represents everything that's right with American football.

  • A fan club in every city

The community of Steeler fans is worldwide. I've been able to join a Steeler fan club in every city I've lived in. This really says alot about the how loyal Steeler fans are. Long live Steeler Nation!

  • Symbolizing an entire city

One town, one family owner, only two coaches in over 30 years, no cheerleaders, one of the greatest dynasties in professional sports, the Immaculate Reception, a name rooted in local industry... everything right about American football. The Steelers have helped black and gold come to symbolize an entire city... how many towns' sports teams are driven to color coordinate?
