  • We cannot be indifferent

I discovered Frank Lloyd Wright ashamedly late thanks to the last, but gorgeous, TC Boyle ("The Women"). I do not want to reveal too much from it - just read it! - but I wanted to say that we cannot be indifferent to F. L. Wright, quite as we do not go out unhurt of TC Boyle. And this is valid also for his last opus, "When the Killing's Done". Superb.

  • Alive and well and living

The spirit of Frank Lloyd Wright is alive and well and living at Taliesin West. This cathedral to creation echoes and amplifies the Arizona desert. The pure empathic power of his vision imbues his home with the ability to bring tears to the eyes of pilgrims. Just step out of yourself and into the heart of genius.

  • A feeling that overcomes me

One with nature and time is a feeling that overcomes me when I walk into a FLWright home. Bungalows in Milwaukee, House on the Rock in WI to name a few. My favorite designs often adorn windows - the squares of brown, black, amber, & clear letting the natural light flow inside. My living room is designed around one Frank Lloyd Wright glass vase. I love spending time with these colors.

  • Balance and peace

Frank Lloyd Wright designed architecture which gives me a sense of balance and peace. His work can make me gasp with pleasure, particularly the private homes which seem to nestle into the environment and add to its beauty.

  • Local art that became global

It's not enough to talk about Frank Lloyd Wright as one of the pioneers in modern architecture in the US, whose designs are still amazing today. To me the work of this genius represents style, beauty, privilege, intelligence, vanguardism, and local art that became global. Having a simple piece of merchandising with a sketch of his, like a pen or a card holder is something to be proud of!!
