  • A product that revolutionises the market

The Airblade. Every now and again a product comes along that revolutionises the market. For years the simple fact has been that hand dryers just don’t work. You wash you hands, then you attempt to dry them by rubbing them in a waft of hot air until you give up, rub them on your jeans or the jacket of the chap next to you and leave. Manufacturers have attempted to divert us from the simple truth that their machines are not fit for purpose with additions such as UV lights to sterilise the water that they don’t remove or in some cases the addition of a paper towel dispenser! Enter the Dyson Airblade. You put your hands into it and a blast of warm air dries your hands totally in seconds, it’s so powerful that your flesh ripples! You know straight away that you have been ruined for life for any other dryer on the planet. On the top it says “Dries twice as fast”. To be honest I would have been happy with “The dryer that dries” as being twice as fast as most of the competition would probably still entail you missing at least one meal while you waited for it to complete its task. Surely this is the mark of a great brand, stylish, different products that re-invent the market and create excitement in a commoditised world where their competitors have settled for boring and safe. I can’t wait to see what he revolutionises next!

  • Invoke waves of joy

Love it or hate it we've all got to clean the house. It used to be a chore, something that I tried to delay. But Dyson took what was a chore and turned it into a joy. Honestly. If you haven't tried one, do it today. I know you think I'm joking, but a Dyson will invoke waves of joy. The colours first, then the design and finally the uncompromising functionality take this brand to the top of the innovation tree. And they are not 'stupid' inventions, they're things that help me enjoy my day just that little bit more. Simply good.
