  • I fell in love with a place for the first time

I visited SA in 2003. For the first time in my life, I fell in love with a place. The landscapes and natural environment are incredible - the bluest sea, the clearest sky, the crisp dry air, the fascinating floral kingdoms, the incredible wildlife (drive yourself around Kruger National Park, and you'll see an animal every 10 meters). I hope that the beauty of the place will be there always.

  • I feel at home where ever I am

South Africa is a land of diversity. Its majestic beauty and warm hearted people make me feel at home where ever I am. From the forests in the Eastern Cape, to the metropolis of Gauteng… It’s a whole world in just one country!

  • Blessed with the friendship

I have never been to South Africa but I have been blessed with the friendship of two e-mail friends from there, Leoni and Haarsha. We've sent letters of similar interests back and forth for some time now. Their words of encouragement have kept me going during a trying time in my life as well. Hopefully someday I'll be able to go there and meet them and thank them in person (dil se, [Hindi for - from the heart] Simran)

  • Passion as vast as the wilderness

South Africa for me is like the world in one country. Tolerance, patience, learning together and overcoming problems together has become our culture. Its beauty is breathtaking and beckons us to explore more. In the heart of every South African, there is passion as vast as the wilderness of this Country. Free spirits make up this Great Land.

  • To live and let be

I live in a country that once astounded the world. When we started the change, we avoided the war. I live in a country that has many virtues. Along with its faults, like all countries do. I live in a country with a wealth of people, who all have the right to live here like me. I live in this country and live happily by expecting my neighbors to live and let be.

  • It's catching on

I've seen the worst of SA, and seen scores of friends and colleagues leave for "greener pastures" .... But there's something about this place that keeps me here - the general tolerance and hopefulness that pervades all classes. Friends and colleagues are returning home - is it the weather? The high standard of living? The people? The feeling that anything is possible? The landscape that changes from Europe to Mediterranean to wild Africa? Maybe - but whatever it is, it's catching on - fast.

  • Proven itself time and time again

Its history and diverse culture brings it to the top with the greatest countries in the world. This country has proven itself time and time again. Being a developed country that cares about its third world neighbors enough to aid them in whatever means necessary makes South Africa a Lovemark for me.
