So easy
A commitment to improvement I'm no rocket surgeon, but making a laptop that works can't be brain science. There are a lot of them about. But Dell makes getting the machine that's right for you so easy. Their online experience is faultless and their machines combine functionality with elegance. I'll admit we had problems with a machine and their helpline service was hateful! But when I next needed to buy a computer I called rather than only going online and the technician gave me a) his direct line contact and email in case I had trouble with the helpline again and b) a discount on the computer I wanted to buy. I'm a fan again.

A bad experience
I feel passionately about hating this brand. Worst computer I've ever owned, worst customer service I've ever had to deal with, overall just a bad experience. After having the motherboard replaced within a year for the second time, you'd think it'd work, right?? No.

What significant innovation Dell has made?
Apart from support and online presence (that’s not invented by Dell), I wonder what significant innovation Dell has made during these years in IT in comparison to SUN, IBM, or Apple? I can't find much originality in what Dell sells. The promise of their brand is to keep selling things cheap.

The excitement I feel
I love my Dell! Not just the feel of my computer but my Dell - the people that help me, the look and feel of my new toys and the excitement I feel when I get to use them. I am inspired by Dell's story and success. I believe in Michael and the people. I always look forward to the cool gadgets and innovations Dell brings me. I am always proud when they win the top awards for customer service or value and performance. To me Dell is a lovemark because I cannot live without my Dell and I would fight to be a part of their imagination, their desire to be the best they can be in everything they do. They have never let me down and for that - I love my Dell!

My life line
I have resisted technology for some time now, but once I jumped to the world of PDA's my Dell Axim 5 has become my life line for business and personal daily scheduling. I do not know how I would survive with out it. I truly love my Dell.
