  • Astounding records

It's as simple as that: 4AD has played a tremendous part in my own life. I've loved music more and more while listening to each one of their astounding records. I've loved graphic design more and more every day (say, it even became my job) while contemplating Vaughan Oliver, Chris Bigg, Nigel Grierson bewitching images and covers. Well it is crystal clear: it's the best record label ever. Definitely, 4AD rocks!

  • Cannot rave enough

I cannot rave enough about 4AD. Suffice to say pure love for these guys and the work they do - especially in the mail order department, mostly beyond the call of duty. 4AD rocks. Plain as the nose on my face. Oh, and I've added Kristin Hersh and Tanya Donelly and they have both benefitted enormously from both the label and Jo!.

  • Imagine the world without The Pixies

Just like the other Tim From Australia. The Pixies - say no more. Actually I will say more, imagine the world without The Pixies, it just doesn't feel right.

  • A place in my heart

4AD is one of those labels that holds a place in my heart- not only for their impeccable taste in which bands to release, but equally for their art and design. The 4AD brand is one which inherently (if only by coincidence) stands for quality bands...the logo is classic and I love it.

  • A beneficial effect

I agree that this label has had a beneficial effect on the music industry by bringing great bands into the limelight. Gotta love the music of the eighties!

  • Music lovers wish for peace

Music is so very important in our lives. I give this story a huge review because of this fact. We so many people finding things to do that are nothing more than hazardous to society, it is a real joy to find music lovers...people who wish for peace.

  • The Eighties music scene

Brings back memories of the eighties music scene in which this label played an important part. The music of the time will remain distinctive for quite a while!

  • Fantastic, creative and innovative

4AD is an 'independent' record label which launched the careers of the Cocteau Twins and Dead Can Dance in the early 1980s, as well as bringing The Pixies to a wider audience at the end of the 80s. Other fantastic, creative, and innovative artistes have been on the 4AD roster including Matt Johnson (The The), Nick Cave (The Birthday Party). In combination with their former 'in-house' designers v23, the whole package of music and album cover artwork was and still is ahead of the game. It's my pacemaker.
