It's about the feeling
The red star, the Heineken dance, friends, crazy concerts, Bartender, for all that things Heineken is my Lovemark. It's not about the taste, it's about the feeling.

My freddy
I am on exchange in Canada, and I am so glad they serve my freddy* here too, freddy being the nickname for my beer, named after Freddy Heineken, the man who made the brand big.

And every other place imaginable
I couldn't imagine travel without Heineken. From the corners of the earth, I found Heineken at bars, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and every other place imaginable. Knowing that Heineken was there for me was a comfort, as no matter the ups and downs of the perils of travel, I knew that a Heineken was there for me with that bright red star and smiling 'e's. I can't count the people I've met, times I've enjoyed, and places I've been while sipping on a smooth, cold Heineken in that curvacious glass.

Rare, but it has happened
Heineken is the only beer. If I'm in a bar that doesn't serve it (rare, but it has happened), then it's water for me.

From 1969 to now
I had my first Heinekens in l969 in Amsterdam on my 20th birthday. I don't much like beer, but I love my Heinekens!

He stopped and gave me this funny look
My best friend and I had been drinking, responsibly of course, for several hours in a packed bar. Several hours earlier he had phoned his wife to tell her he would be home at "10 past". At 10 past 4, in the morning, she turned up to the bar in her dressing gown...angry. "We're leaving. Follow me....NOW!" she said. He followed behind, a full bottle of Heineken in hand. The bouncer stopped him. "Excuse me mate, you can't take that Heineken with you". At that point, he stopped and gave me this funny look as if to say "Follow my angry wife home, or finish my full bottle of Heineken. Mmmmm" He's now divorced and lives in England.

Timeless
The font makes the bottle I just can't stop looking at it. The colors are so remarkable fresh but timeless that I'm proud to be Dutch.

One bottle worth reaching for
The beer of all beers for me. When 5 o'clock rolls round, there's only one bottle worth reaching for everytime. No matter what time of year, Heineken stands up as my perfect beer experience. Not to mention the beauty of 99 green bottles of beer on the bar.
