Portillo's Hot Dogs

Great customer service

My love for Portillo’s starts with their food, more specifically their hot dogs, Italian beef, fries and last but not least, their delectable chocolate cake. The thing is it doesn’t end their; the workers are friendly and you zip through the lines which are usually long because of the amazing food already mentioned. It seems like every time I’m there while I wait for my number to be called, the employee announcing the numbers breaks out into rhymes such as “…looking for the great number 88…looking for number 54 we can’t wait for you to come back from more…” It adds to the friendly environment and I usually look forward to my number being called, not only to receive my delicious food but to see what the clever way in which my number will be called. Last but not least, I love Portillo’s because they are very efficient and the longest line never takes that long, and after all, that is the point of FAST FOOD. Both in the physical restaurant and the drive thru during peak times, they station numerous people in an assembly line - one taking your order, one taking your money, and then you receive your food all in a very timely manner. This may cost them more money, but you can’t put a dollar value on great customer service and going above and beyond the call of duty. For those reasons Portillo’s is my Lovemark.
