Patti the Platypus

Growing up my five sisters and I collected over 200 beanie babies but while we had many, there was one that has always been my favorite. When I was younger I had separation anxiety and couldn't be away from my home. Vacations and sleepovers were not an option for me. One Friday night when I was four years old, my mom scheduled a sleepover at my friend's house. I was planning on chickening out right before but my grandma gave me a gift. It was Patti the Platypus. By the time of the sleepover, Patti had picked up the scent of my house and allowed me to go anywhere without worry. I ended up going to the sleepover and came home the next morning happy. Even years later I can go anywhere and still have the comfort of home. I even left my home in Minnesota to pursue an education in New York and still have Patti with me where ever i go today.
