Real music for real people
BBE stands for Barely Breaking Even. I came across the label when it was largely a fledgling club night. More than 12 years on still steered by front man Pete Adarkwah (the humblest man ever), through clubs, live music and whole heap of love. BBE have allowed musicians unknown to legendary to be 100% real to themselves and put out albums of sounds that you would never expect to hear from them. The spirit and the label tag "real music for real people" runs through everything they do. There are no thrills and spills it just says what it does on the box. I have travelled the world "literally" to tap into that amazing energy and family vibe which has just got better with age.
