  • Bringing joy and happiness

For years now, Lubosh and Jenny Hanuska have been looking into the business of opening an ice creamery in Wodonga, Victoria, Australia. But not just any old ice cream, Lubosh is originally from Slovakia and so the ice cream they intended on selling was not just your average dairy product but traditional European gourmet sorbets and gelatos. In December 2007, Jenny and Lubosh opened up their magnificent parlour. It was an instant success with que right down Stanley Street. They experiment with flavours constantly making sure they don't get 'pld', such as Blood Orange, Kiwi Fruit and Cinnamon while still keeping the good ol' traditional stuff like Chocolate, Vanilla and Lemon. The Daily Scoop is truly a family business with it currently run by Lubosh, Jenny and their oldest daughter. Is it a family in biological terms but they have also welcomed into their own home a Mr. Erkin Metohajro from Central Europe - a second-generation ice creamer. He is over here for summer and autumn as his shop is closed back in Europe for the colder months. Erkin and Lubosh make the ice cream every day with a traditional Balkan recipe. This recipe has only natural ingredients are added and that there are no preservatives, ensuring fresh, quality desserts every time. The Daily Scoop is atTrue member of the Albury-Wodonga community and is by far the most popular shop on the border! I believe that The Daily Scoop deserves a place in the World Renown Store Hall Of Fame - Lovemarks, for bringing joy and happiness into the troubled cities of Albury-Wodonga and giving everyone the opportunity to go back to the good old times when there WERE no preservatives and everything was how it should be - Natural.
