  • The moment of peace and solitude we capture

I love TiVo. My husband and I are graduate students with demanding jobs - and even more demanding toddlers. The moment of peace and solitude we capture is on the weekends when we catch up on our t.v. shows. There is no way we can do everything we do and watch t.v. TiVo heard us, and those like us, and responded accordingly.

  • Reaching for the remote to 'jump' life back...

I am honored to be the 100th thumbs up for TiVo. Indeed TiVo is life altering. It creaps into my thinking and becomes so second nature that I find myself reaching for a remote to jump life back 8 seconds, just to experience something once over again.

  • Of course, they are not listening...

This sorry fading star that once shone so bright... Tivo have all but withdrawn from the UK, and my Tivo box may soon be replaced by machine from a rival manufacturer. TIVO (I'm screaming now, in the hope they will hear me across the atlantic), PLEASE COME BACK, I HAVE MONEY AND I WANT TO SPEND IT ON YOU... PLEASE LOOK AT THE LOVELY MONEY. Of course, they are not listening - they are too busy contemplating their own doom to heed the millions like me who are desperate to buy their stuff!

  • Otherwise, they're sure to be eclipsed...

Tivo's great, but they're going to have to do something quickly to differentiate from all the other DVRs popping up. Otherwise, they're sure to be eclipsed by the cable giants whose way they have paved.

  • If you don't...

If you don't have TiVo you'll never understand why we all rave - and once you get TiVo you'll never know how you lived without it.

  • Changes the landscape

When I heard the criteria for a Lovemark, Tivo was the first and only product that sprang to mind. People who have a Tivo would NEVER go back to life without one. It changes the whole landscape of home entertainment.

  • Multiple Tivos

I LOVE TIVO! I actually have three TiVos because there is no sense in watching "regular" TV when you can watch a TiVo. I never have to worry about finding a VCR tape, and best of all I can switch tuners while I channel surf and then turn back and with the rewind feature I don't miss one second of the show. Even my wife loves TiVo, and she was skeptical at first. Everybody should have multiple TiVos!

  • Never felt so strongly

Like others have said, TiVo is a wonderful thing - I have never felt so strongly about a product before TiVo. Not only does it record all of my favorite shows and serve them up on a platter for my convenience, it also finds things I might also like. The coolest thing is that it records these other shows just in case I might want to watch them - it's like having a personal TV advisor!

  • I still love it

I didn't think we needed this but now I can't live without Tivo. I love being in control of what I watch on tv, not having to watch commercials, being able to fast forward through boring junk! And I love being able to record movies with all my favorite actors and being able to select movies by genre like sci fi. I could do without the booping sound every time I change the channel and the little theme song and dancing tv box are a bit lame and the remote is overly phallic but I still love it!

  • Little pleasures

I love my Tivo! In fact, I have two because the whole family is addicted and we have diverse tastes in viewing. The luxury of being able to watch your favorite shows when you have time and be able to replay the ending of Law & Order when you fall asleep is one of life's little pleasures.
