Musician of global proportions
A musician of global proportions. This Malian guitarist balanced a global following with his life in Mali and made two of the most haunting and beautiful albums I've ever heard. The Heart of the Moon and Talking Timbuktu (which he did with Ry Cooder) should not be missed. There is something incredibly human about this music - every song tells the most incredible story that puts life in perspective.
