  • A true classic and a true landmark

I love the whole Hearst story - early 20th century, untouched California coast, rare antiques, Julia Morgan and early days of Hollywood. I also love the castle which embodies all of these wonderful features- a true classic and a true landmark- the perfect Lovemark!

  • Worth a trip to California

This is the most magnnificent mansion in the United States. Two fantastic pools. Great site above the Pacific Ocean. Worth a trip to California to see!

  • Truth is better than the fiction!

Hearst Castle, San Simeon, "The Enchanted Hill" - all names given this magnificent estate overlooking the spectacular California Coast - now a State Park it was built by America’s first prominent woman architect Julia Morgan and William Randolph Hearst. It is the California dream. This exhuberant "castle" is hardly the brooding Xanadu portrayed in Citizen Kane - for once the truth is better than the fiction!
