A two-wheeled, 95-octane consuming humanoid
Riding up from Singapore to Penang. The GS. Somewhere just north of Kuala Lumpur, the body and the bike become one. Legs fuse to the petrol tank, shoulders move forward, hands attach to the handlebars, no weak points. A new creature, a hybrid, a two-wheeled, 95-octane consuming humanoid.

A sense of adventure and experience
People don't ride these bikes to look tough or fit in. They buy BMW motorcycles because of their reputation of being a true riding machine. If someone's thinking about taking a motorcycle on a trek around the world, odds are they're going to be on a Beemer. BMW riders would always catch my attention as a kid. The odd looking GS packed with gear. Always ridden by someone that conveyed a sense of adventure and experience. I have a GS now as well as the S. The bottom line is that any Beemer you park in your garage will be quite happy if you take it out for a month straight. Put 40K miles on it in its first year and you'll just have it broken in. Other Beemer owners know what I'm talking about. See you on the road.

Can weather almost any conditions
Since purchasing my first motorcycle and my first BMW product in 2002, I have come to love the BMW brand. My F650GS was perfectly suited to my needs (new motorcyclist, durable, easy to maintain, goes anywhere). Having matured my riding skills, I am now looking to move up to the R1200GS for some serious touring (look out New Zealand...here I come!). Having put over 20,000 KM on my Beemer, it is apparent now to me why most of the "around-the-world" riders I hear of choose the BMW brand ... they are strong bikes that can weather almost any conditions, and can be serviced or fixed just about anywhere you can get on 2 wheels.

It makes me more than I am
I know BMW has already been nominated as a Lovemark but BMW Motorcycles is a world (and a brand) apart. And it is so much more than a brand. It is a lifestyle, a way of living, a way of defining myself and the world around me. When I am on my R 1150 GS, travelling through the wild and wonderful corners of Africa, this incredible machine becomes my survival kit. And after hundreds of thousands of kilometers, the "kit" becomes "comrade", and the bond becomes emotional. "BMW Motorcycles" has a specific meaning to me: It means freedom. Or breaking free. Escaping. But that is almost generic to all bike brands. The uniqueness of the BMW is that it is a motorcycle for the wild. It turns me, an ordinary man, into an explorer, a pioneer, a Lone Ranger. It makes me more than I am.
