The heart of their success
While their products obviously have appeal and are 'solid' I believe the brand IBM is the true Lovemark. Over decades they have continued to build and adapt, from typewriters and clocks to RFID chips, x-ray imaging and business consulting. But for me the one really impressive aspect is their deep respect for the community and their employees. If you don't believe me, ask an IBM-er. This respect has remained through all the changes and is, along with keeping in tune with the market, at the heart of their success.

Think "notebook", say "Thinkpad"
At the beginning I was a little sceptical, but after 2 years working with IBM Thinkpads they touched my heart. This is for reliability, thorough construction and IBM support to them. If someone wants to break them he must figure out a very complicated solution. ... and finally they are worth every dollar spent on them ... This is the reason when You think "notebook" You can say "Thinkpad" ...

It still keeps booting up
I won an IBM Aptiva computer 4-5 years ago and it amazes me how well it still functions in spite of kids, cats and jelly sandwiches. This poor thing has been through the ringer and it's kinda frayed around the edges but it still keeps booting up and performing its best.

Loved IBM in the 1960s
Loved IBM in the 1960s, love it now. I used the 360 Mod. 4, 1130 system, and the Systems 3, and found them great, programmed them. Good company and good product.
