Amazon.com
Amazon.com was one of the first companies to sell goods over the Internet. Launched in 1995, the company began with online book-selling but has now branched off into many other areas.

Always have the best prices
I buy all my books from Amazon because there is a huge choice and they ALWAYS have the best prices. I love the fact you can buy either new books or used books to save money. I have also sold over 200 of my unwanted books and DVDs on their site, and I am very happy with the extra money!

Mecca of Internet shopping
The simplicity of shopping combined with the excitement of receiving your own personal gift. Amazon.com is my Lovemark. Rarely do I shop for an item that I know nothing about. Seldom do I seek out a worker to tell me what I want to buy. Not only does Amazon.com allow me to read the stories of first-hand experiences of consumers, but also for more information, I can open a new tab in my browser and enter in a Google search. And it may sound lazy, but I do not have to travel to a store just to purchase one item. Still looking to shop? Just add it to your cart. Looking for a completely different and unrelated item? Search it on Amazon. With such a wide variety of items from either Amazon or other suppliers, I can build up and review all my specific purchases on one website. The best part is with purchasing, it doesn’t feel like I’m submitting my debit card info to a shady dealer who may or may not keep my information safe. So online shopping is convenient, so what? Amazon.com also offers cheaper prices than buying from many other big retailers. Feel like saving a little bit more? There’s usually quite a bit of “used” items as well. And again, whether new, used, from Amazon, or a different supplier/company/person, it’s all in one check out cart. There’s no initiating email to the winning bidder and email tag on when something gets billed or shipped. Also, if you’re not in a hurry to receive something, you can search for Amazon’s eligible “Free Super Saver Shipping.” Rarely do I pay an extra $20 to ship something a day faster, and saving $10 on shipping is just a perk for me. To be blunt and horribly vague, if you love online shopping, there’s no reason to not love Amazon.com. It is the Mecca of Internet shopping, a utopia of purchasing. No longer does workers, shoppers, traffic, or any other nuisance that is associated with a “real” store interrupt you with your precious shopping. You are the shopper and you check yourself out. Instant gratification doesn’t technically exist, as you have to factor in shipping time. But you cannot beat watching a UPS truck drive up to your house or apartment, your new gift has arrived. From: You; To: You. You know what you want, and so does Amazon. So sign in and let Amazon greet you with its recommendations.

Amazon rules - it's that simple
Amazon rules - it's that simple. It keeps track of what I buy so I don't end up with duplicates. I find lots of used books that are out of print or that cost way below retail. If it's not the first place I go to shop, it's usually the last, because I've looked at prices elsewhere and realized I can get it cheaper at Amazon. I participate in their Vine program where I test products and write reviews, but I wrote reviews before, just for fun. I check my recommendations several times a week just to see what's new and update my wish lists. I use the gift lists to plan my holiday shopping. I'm saving my pennies so I can hopefully someday buy a KINDLE!

Still my #1 Lovemark
Now here is a true Lovemark - almost four years after I first nominated it here (on 16 Feb 2004) it is still my #1 Lovemark. Still 100% delivery against expectation every single time. Still great personalised offers. Still great value. Still relevant, non-intrusive emailing. Still great packaging. Still a gift for me every time it arrives (even though I bought it). And still the biggest, best, easiest, most personal shop on earth. And it just get's better - as it's got to know me it's become more relevant, closer, better, more useful. Deep long love. Nothing else comes close.

You can find nearly anything
I’m so torn. There’s NO PLACE better to do on-line browsing for books, you can find nearly anything and the prices are great. But...I tend to want to do my buying at the independents with all their bricks and mortar quirkiness.

If I can't find it here, I can't find it anywhere
I'm also a customer from way back and I've watched Amazon grow and change. And no matter what, the focus is always books and CDs/DVDs. I admire how Amazon had the nerve to allow other sellers to join in the party. If I can't find it here, I can't find it anywhere.

I am probably one of Amazon's earliest customers.
I am probably one of Amazon's earliest customers. I just found an old receipt, inside a book, dated October 1995. It felt like such a neat idea to read about a book and get nearly instant gratification by being able to buy it, even in pajamas! I often wanted books that had to be specially ordered anyway. I will continue as a customer, since Amazon really does know what they are doing, and overall, the prices can't be beat.

Always able to count on Amazon
Amazon is amazing! I've been ordering from them since they were just a novel idea. I've always been able to count on Amazon - everything arrives, it gets here when it's supposed to, it gets sent to other people and the gift wrap is lovely, and it always provides just what I'm looking for. Many times Amazon has saved my last-minute birthday shopping problems, and one year everyting I bought for the winter holidays came from Amazon. It is a wonderful friendly place that I can count on!

Those many years ago
Amazon.com is one of the original shopping sites on the web. It was the first site I ever felt safe to order from those many years ago, and it is still one of the best! Keep up the great service, Amazon.com!
