A door to nature and the world
The yellow rectangle is like a door for me to love nature and the world. Go National Geographic.

Captures the thinking person
Yvette, I love your Lovemark. You captured my own sense of NG. Quality and integrity and that oh-so-recognisable yellow rectangle that heralds content intended to capture the thinking person. That instant response to the yellow rectangle is indeed quite calming and positive. (I smiled at the "nudie" comment too.) NG has always had stunning photography and that was what struck me as a child still too young to read the text - that the images themselves were stories and allowed me a window into sections of the globe. I felt I got to know some of my global neighbours in a way that no other magazine apart from NG offered.

A part of who I am now
My first memories of National Geographic are those of a child: fascinated and giggling at the sight of the "nudie people". Then of doctors' waiting rooms and mounds of well thumbed magazines. The stories were just the right length for the average wait, but I often wished that the doctor would be just a bit later, so I could enjoy another story. National Geographic is part of who I am now: the love of travelling and seeing new places, caring about environment and community... all influenced by National Geographic.

Quality and integrity - always
I've read everyone's descriptions of their Lovemarks with fascination and I have plenty of words to describe my own ; absorbing, enduring, innovative, reliable, exotic, inspiring, committed, affordable, adventurous, informative, mysterious, amusing, revealing, exciting, strange, colourful, depressing, subtle, daring, stimulating, magical, intimate, surprising, joyous, frightening; But scrap all that! When I strip my Lovemark bare I am left with two words - quality and integrity - always. My Lovemark has never let me down. That instantly recognisable yellow rectangle means far more than a name. It instantly conjures a feeling. To know is to love - National Geographic.
