But having moved from the deciduous forests of Wisconsin to the desert plateau of Boise, mine is a territory much confused. The arid climate of the west has wreaked havoc on the sensitive landscape of my epidermis, so I sought relief. A one-woman company called The Scented Room creates bath scrubs rich with healing oils and all-natural ingredients. Soaking at night in a tub filled with lavender salts relieves my stress.
