I blame my family for making me watch House. I kept hearing it was such a good show blah, blah, blah. Finally I got tired of the nagging and I rented the first season. GENIUS!!! Hugh Laurie has always done good work, he just doesn’t get much appreciation here in the States. The performance that he gives as Dr. Gregory House is the best I think I have EVER seen. In anything. Known to most as the crankiest doctor television has ever spawned Hugh Laurie’s star is shining bright. After twenty years entertaining Britain as a goofy comic, Laurie is finally getting his due as the talented, deft and genuine article he deserves. This Renaissance man not only acts, but writes (The Gun Seller) and plays the piano and guitar - and the most annoying thing of all is no one can say a bad word about him. He’s been dubbed "the thinking women’s sex symbol" - oh yes, he’s all that and a bag of chips.
