Earth Water International is a bottled water company. It works in support of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR). 100% of the net profits from the sale of each bottle of Earth Water are donated to the UNHCR to be used in water aid programmes for refugees. Earth Water, through its unique and innovative mandate, hopes to generate awareness about water issues around the world. All statistics indicate there are still 1 billion people living without clean drinking water and that the problem is most acute in sub-Saharan Africa, a region representing 11% of the world's population where 1/3 of all people are without access to clean drinking water. Access to water is a major issue that needs to be addressed, and its profile needs to be raised.
