From garage to art gallery

I can't believe it's not on the list! Mambo made clothing history. Commercially irreverent surf T-shirt profiteers went from garage in 1984 to the State art gallery in a decade, and to floating shares. Goes to show it's important to be yourself, stay fresh, worship local kitsch, and keep your old friends because that's what informs your commercial mark on the world. Go Mambo.
