Every pitch was a homer
I remember my Dad taking me to my first Yankee game (in 1963). We got there two hours before game time and watched the Yanks warm up and do batting practice. We went down to the field box, first row and watched Mickey Mantle belt homers into left, center and right fields. Every pitch was a homer. We were so close to home plate I'll never forget how he smiled throughout the entire practice. If ever there was a person who truly loved his job, it was Mantle. What an inspiration! What an awesome sight to see the God gifted talent of a man do the uncommon so natural. But their (the Yanks) history is full of such men...Ruth, Gerhig, Dimaggio, Berra, Munson, etc, etc. That's the beauty of the Yanks and why they're my ultimate sports Lovemark.

Named for Mickey Mantle
My dad named me for Mickey Mantle and many joyous days of my childhood revolve around the Yankees. Now that my dad has passed away I still get a special feeling from the Yankees and those special memories.

A Lovemark in pinstripes
More world championships than any other team. Fans adore them. Opponents hate them. Nobody's neutral about the New York Yankees. The ballpark is a field of dreams where many legends and heroes of the sport have made their marks on history. The stories are endless, the magic is real. The Yankees are a Lovemark in pinstripes.
