  • A big part of the drive to rescue 'brand England'

It take's a lot to start a fashion brand from scratch, particularly one that gives a sense of such heritage and history. Yet I think that has been achieved even though the company was only started by Roger Saul in 1971. The vision and commitment to English design and craftsmanship has not been compromised. Consequently, it hasn't been the easiest journey - yet today its bags and fashion are same of the 'must have' items for fashionistas around the world. Which is especially pleasing given its ongoing commitment to the SouthWest of England. In a sense, it has been a big part of the drive to rescue 'brand England' with some real substance, beyond this 'cool Britannia' nonsense.
