A promise of a good read
For me, the two lower-case ’f’s on the spine of Faber & Faber books is a promise of a good read. Recently, on the Eurostar to Paris, I sat across from a woman who pulled out a Faber & Faber book from her bag and started reading. I took out my own Faber book (Seamus Heaney’s ’District and Circle’), and not long after that, two of us women were talking like old friends.

The publisher to be with, the publisher to have on your bookshelf, Faber and Faber have been the publisher to run since 1925. It is always a welcome sight to see a Faber in a bookstore, or at a friends - a good read awaits.
