  • Can't go too wrong liking this drink

Supposedly African elephants would shake the Marula tree and eat the fruit that fell out, getting gloriously drunk. Baboons like it too. Can't go too wrong liking this drink so highly recommended by these animals.

  • My all time favorite drink

I was introduced to Amarula while on a Semester at Sea. We were in South Africa doing a tour of the Stellenbach wine country. This is my all time favorite drink. If you haven't tried it - do - you won't be sorry.

  • All this in a sweet, creamy beverage

A friend first introduced this luscious libation to me after returning from traveling through South Africa and after rationing my limited supply I've finally found it available in the States!! It's made from the fruit of the marula tree which only grows wild throughout africa, and I'm told monkeys and elephants get tipsy off the fruit when it falls to the ground and ferments. Tribes/natives (and my friend) also claim it's an aphrodisiac and now that I can share it with others instead of hording it for myself i'll finally be able to test that theory!! All this in a sweet, creamy beverage - what more could you ask for? Ahh...i'm getting thirsty!!!
