Allows me to explore my sensuality
I have been bellydancing for over a year now and I have fallen in love with it! When I dance, I feel sexy, alive and empowered. It's a great form of exercise, but also, it allows me to explore my sensuality and my womanhood. Bellydancing has caused me to really appreciate my body in all of its curvy gloriousness!

Healthy and healing
As a life-long dancer, and someone who spent 30 years performing and teaching all varieties of middle eastern dance forms, I can tell you it's incredible non-impact exercise, great for strengthening and balance, healthy and healing, and a serious study of the art should include not only the physical parts, but ethnomusicology, comparative anthropology, history, cuisine - and of course, you also get to wear pretty costumes. Highly recommended, and it keeps you young, too!

Something to explore
Definitely something that I want to explore. Belly dancing is sensual and athletic. It is a great introduction to learning about other cultures. There needs to be more belly dancing classes out there!

Dancing only for you
This dancing is more athletic than most sports. Dancers are amazingly tuned and regularly dance, at a pace akin to a four-minute mile, an hour without taking a break. Mere mention of the word marches a pleasurable array of fond memories of gatherings of friends and family, fantastic feasts, and never to be forgotten pleasures. Mention the word and you can actually smell the delicacies being cooked and served. You can hear the fragile sounds of the masterfully played finger-cymbals. You can hear the stirring music being played and you can see the beautiful dancer - dancing only for you. An experience that can only be surpassed by being there.

A great way to celebrate
Belly dancing is such a great way to celebrate the female body. No matter what size, what nationality or what religion, all women can enjoy this style of dance. Its relaxing, and a great way to keep fit. The costumes and jewellery are facinating as well!
