A community has evolved here

Well, in part I am biased, because I created Trixie's Cafe & Coffeeshop, but a community has evolved here that I could not have orchestraded. We have an amazing open mic on Tuesdays where I have met real, honest to God, folk musicians...people who have lived thier lives to the fullest extent. Detroiters with the knowlege of local history and lore. People come here to perform on stage, or to be seen in the crowd, while still others seem to be "performing" all the time. We have our quiet moments as well. W-DET with Ed Love, groovie jazz in the background, candles burnings with the scent of insense...its the perfect environment to curl up with a latte' and a book. Like I said, "Maybe I'm biased, but Trixie's is my Lovemark."
