River Phoenix was an American actor. His first notebale appearance was in Stand By Me. He also starred in Running on Empty and My Own Private Idaho. He died at age 23.

Did a great job
I love River Phoenix! I'm kinda young and wasn't able to experience the movies he was in when he was still alive but I watch them today. My favorite movie is 'Stand By Me'. River Phoenix did a great job and I have to give credit to Wil Weaton, Corey Feldman, and Jerry O' Connell. I watch 'Stand By Me' about three times a day, no joke!

One of the most amazing men
He is one of the most amazing men the world has had to lose. If any tells me he was a hippy-hypocrite, saying don't-do-drugs then dying of an over-dose, you can all shut your mouths! It was a terrible mistake only the materialistic obsessive land of Hollywood could have created in him. It is a grieving moral to the dangers, not of drugs, but of celebrity. He just couldn't stand it and it broke him down. He deserved better!
