Entered my life when I was 10 years old
My Steinway entered my life when I was 10 years old, and though much older [it was built in 1901], it has been my wonderful partner and inspiration for my compositions and performance style. People regularly comment on my use of the bass end of the keyboard, inspired by my 7'5" Steinway C. As far as I am concerned, the Steinway is the ultimate piano.

Gathering place for family and friends.
When I was 12, my father drove this horribly ugly 10-year-old van. I hated it. We weren't loaded, but he was saving up to buy a Steinway grand piano. I was mortified to be driven around in that van, but now that I'm older I appreciate what he did--our Steinway became a gathering place for family and friends throughout the years, something a new car never could have been.

Poetic in character
I'm a product designer in NYC, and after 9/11 I looked for something to support that was a product, made in New York City, beautifully made, beautifully designed, poetic in character, and that wouldn't kill anyone. This is it. Long live Steinway.

One of the great musical Lovemarks
The piano chosen by over 90 percent of concert pianists is one of the great musical Lovemarks. Steinway pianos are lovingly polished, tuned and cared for through generations. Steinways bring the past, present and future together with the mysterious power of music.
