I always come back!

Yup, I have to agree - The Archers is fantastic and totally addictive (I've tried to quit several times, but I always come back!). My parents listened every night when I was a child, so I've really grown up with these characters. It's a real British institution and I can talk for hours when I meet someone who's also a fan (my husband thinks this is sad)!

Real people, real problems

The Archers, a story of everyday country folk in fictional Borsetshire, England, is a daily radio drama which has played on the BBC since 1951. How can something which sounds so dull be so captivating? Because it's real. Real people, real problems - no magic solutions, no evil twins. A program like this wouldn't get past the first round of rejections if it were pitched today. Thanks to the Internet I can...and do... keep up with The Archers ten years after leaving the UK. Loyalty Beyond Reason indeed.
