It's a win-win
One of my most reliable friends! I started using Yelp when I moved to San Francisco. With no friends or family to give me recommendations, I came to rely on Yelp for advice on everything, from plumbers to Burmese cuisine. Unlike real life friends, Yelp is available 24/7 and you don't need to buy it birthday and Christmas gifts. It's a win-win.

Enthusiastic to help
I use Yelp every time I'm looking for a good restaurant or bar. I've even used it when looking for advice, like finding a good mechanic. The reviews are honest, and the yelpers are enthusiastic to help their Bay Area neighbors.

Cheers to Yelp!
Even though this site/concept is in its infancy, it is spreading rapidly. I find myself reading the reviews often, and, unlike other "review" sites it actually encourages community. The Yelp feature is great and I have already used it to find specific places many times. Cheers to Yelp!

New friendships among users
I love that this site has created new friendships among users, and there’s this small competition going on between users to see who can write the most reviews, and who can get to a new venue to review about it first. It keeps things exciting! Oh and the "discussions" we have on the talk board get pretty heated sometimes and I know people love gossip and drama!

A great innovation.
A great innovation: a cross between a viral community site and a review site. The beauty is that it actually makes you want to go and "Yelp" everyday to help make the reviews better, while the community aspect makes it more fun to use.
