Staedtler is a German brand of writing instruments. The company was founded by J.S. Staedtler in 1835.

A fine writing utensil company

Staedtler is a fine writing utensil company, especially for drafting. Their mechanical pencils are comparable in quality to Pentel's high end pencils, and of course they manufacture the classic white plastic eraser. Their Lumocolor permanent markers would give Sharpie a run for their money if they didn't completely monopolize the marker section in every American office supply store.

I am lost without either and trust no other.

Nothing compares to the elegant simplicity, feel and reliability of a Staedtler 110HB pencil and eraser. I am lost without either and trust no other. All else are merely imposters. From my early childhood memories the pleasure remains the same from the classroom to the boardroom. It's another icon which transcends religions, race and socio-economics and knows no boundaries.
