  • Because of a couple of Canadians and a Sweede

I'm sure this one qualifies for the most ironic coincidence in the Lovemarks, but I love Colorado because of a couple of Canadians and a Sweede. I went to Denver because I'm a huge hockey fan and wanted to be where Forsberg, Sakic, Roy, and Drury all play(ed). And when I was there, I fell in love with the town with it's great bookstores, the university, and the mountains surrounding it. But, ice hockey comes first.

  • You think on it as you would a lover...

When something makes you who you are, it can easily be considered a Lovemark. When you think on it as you would a lover, when you can still breath and taste it states away, Lovemark again. Colorado is mine. Telluride when it was still populated by midgets eating dog biscuits. Cripple Creek when the mine's donkeys freely roamed and chunks of turquoise littered the dusty streets. In the Rockies building forts, skiing Keystone's blue slopes, investigating abandoned mine shafts, tracing time by the Aspen trees.
