This toothpaste works magic
My husband suffers from mouth ulcers and he swears that this toothpaste works magic with them. The taste is - um - unusual. But we have learned to love it.

It is an acquired taste but I was hooked
My sister's a dentist in Barbados and while visiting her about 5 years ago she gave me a few sample tubes and a phial of the mouthwash. It is an acquired taste but I was hooked. When her supplier dried up, I was able to tap into Germany via a niece studying and living there until she graduated. There's an online pharmacy, Littleflower, which charges about $10/tube. I'm now trying through México, where SKG manufactures it. Any other sourcing suggestions would be welcome. I can't go back.

Much like my first taste of Scotch, I nearly spat
I was sixteen and my dentist told me my teeth and gums would have looked at home in a pirate's mouth. He gave me a sample tube of Paradontax. Much like my first taste of Scotch, I nearly spit it out immediately. Now I'm 36. lamenting the fact that the store near me that once stocked Paradontax went out of business six years ago. They should sell it online. Or do they already? The only thing that ever felt better in my mouth was novacaine. Use it ten times and you're hooked...guaranteed.

I'm out of toothpaste, lets go to the Netherlands
I first heard about Paradontax when planning a trip to Amsterdam. A friend of mine - and devotee of the Dutch toothpaste - delivered me $20 bucks and a request to pick up a few tubes. So thrilled was she to have the opportunity to replenish her supply that of course my curiousity was piqued. She claimed Paradontax had the power to give one a whole new mouth, no matter what one had put in it! She also warned me that it was an acquired taste. Even so, I was surprised at its foulness -- at first. The results, however, were just as my friend had promised. There can be no going back to the sweet, minty American toothpastes of my youth. Give me medicinal herbs and mineral salts. Plus, it's always nice to have this excuse to visit the Netherlands: "I'm almost out of toothpaste."
