  • I can never stop myself from falling in love

Beirut is not a major centre of culture nor does it have the kind of sights that many other capitals have, be they in Europe or the Middle East. In fact, Beirut is quite ugly. The contrast between the plethora of hedonist materialist superficiality and the evidence of tough, existential poverty in the city make Beirut an ethical, visual and cultural shock. The intensity of life between these extremes, where politics is still a matter of life and death and where partying, eating and living is as extreme as the politics, make Beirut one of the most exciting cities in the world to visit. It’s a crazy place full of very nice+kind and very bad+fake people and I can never stop myself from falling in love with it - despite myself. Definitely a Lovemark!

  • Everyone's city

Beirut is simply everyone’s city... it’s a city of culture, fun, love, people, life, entertainment... it’s Paris, Vienna, Amsterdam, London, Milan... it’s the world in one place.

  • Everywhere you go there is a story to listen to

Beirut is the city that displays the passion and love of its people in every corner of the streets, buildings, shops, churches, mosques. Everywhere you go there is a story to listen to.

  • one city in the world

Visiting Beirut was a rewarding experience, never in my life have I found such a mixture of Art and Beauty in one city in the world. A must see city for anyone interested in travel. I consider this city as a lovemark that I feel strongly towards and would certainly visit it again in the near future.

  • A mystical and exotic cocktail

Beirut is a mystical and exotic cocktail of history, passion and emotion. It is a city of stark contrasts and that's what makes it all the more interesting and amazing.
