Like a friend I can consult for advice
Sub-Pop has consistently released albums from excellent artists since I first heard about the label in 2001. Their savvy knack for signing talent with indie ethos and potential mainstream appeal, without the stench of "industry", is uncanny. I've come to rely on the label, it's like a friend I can consult for advice on new music. We have our quarrels, but I always forgive Sub-Pop.
