Completely blown away
I remember the first time I saw/heard Bjork. I was 14, living in Uruguay, and visiting Miami during my winter holidays. I was swapping channels and all of a sudden I saw this little lady, dressed all in beige - so plain and simple, with this amazing robotic out-of-this-world voice. WOW. It took me 3.2 seconds to be completely blown away! I returned to Uruguay with her cds and tales of a magical Icelandic creature with the voice of an angel. I was lucky enough to see her in concert in SF this year and it was all I imagined and more.

It would be pure betrayal to turn away...
Two hundred years from now she will be regarded as a wonder of the world. Her singing is hypnotic and her style is unrelenting. You cannot escape her. You cannot turn away. She is being intimate with you. When you are listening. When you are looking. It would be pure betrayal to turn away or cover your ears. She is already in so much pain, yet it brings her so much pleasure to be sharing. Even just a little bit.

A visionary
Bjork is a visionary. She has not only re-shaped music in the last ten years, but actually defined new standards. Her constant search for new ways to communicate thoughts and feelings go beyond traditional instruments. For her music is a journey and each song a new experiment. I fall for eveyone of those experiments!
