Billy Connolly
In the 60's, Billy played banjo in a popular folk band called The Humblebums. The group was successful, but it soon became evident that his jokes were the best part of the show. The rest is history.

The humor of the man, humanises me
Billy is authentic. The humor of the man, humanises me. This Scotsman always comes to mind (& emotion) whenever I'm sick of the patronising world most of us inflict on ourselves or others. To be able to wheel around as Billy does, expletives flying, limbs akimbo, joy, energy. Having just seen him in Lemony Snicket the casting of Billy as an eccentric, loving, living uncle said it all.
