Can't wait to stop by one of these
First time I saw them was 2004 in Greece, between Athens and Delphi. It was huge, it even had sort of like a "Toys R Us" in the bottom floor. (Freeway bridge style). Then in June 2005 I drove from Milan to Venice and back. I think I stopped in every single one of them, excellent food, extensive selection of "road entertainment", drinks, products, etc. The food is ultra... I loved Autogrill. I'm leaving on 11/2005 back to Italy, and can't wait to stop by one of these.

Autogrill is a chain of fast food restaurants/truckstops located on the autostradas (highways) throughout Italy. Here, you'll find the best road food on earth - as only the Italians can do it! Grilled panini sandwiches of nearly any description, espresso and clean bathrooms. Some Autogrills are full service restaurants, offering great eats at low prices. Before I took my children to Italy a few years ago, I told them that even the food in the truckstops is better than the Italian food served here in the United States. One stop at an Autogrill and they agreed.
