  • Changed a lot of my views

As a Arab, the Show changed a lot of my views towards the American people. Sorkin created a phenomenon that gave millions of people from around the world a glimpse at American politics, it also taught a lot of the American people about the outside world and its politics. The West Wing created characters that were so real, they make you angry, yet you are able to forgive them because you got to know them. The West Wing not only "raised the level of debate", it raised the level of acceptance for other TV shows. It also targeted intelligent people all over the world and never had to talk down to us. Thank you Sorkin for your witty scripts and phenomenal writing. Thank you for a president I wish existed everywhere: wise, intelligent, strong and human. "Thank you for seven years of Idealism and Glory".

  • It's all Josh and Donna

More than once my wife has threatened to leave. I am assuming she meant the house a not me. This happens when I watch the West Wing. I first had to get my fix with BRAVO's Monday night marathons, but once I got my hands on the DVD season compilations I could get my fix any time, any day. I could say it's all about the discourse on the issues of our times, but come on. It's all Josh and Donna.

  • If only Jeb Bartlet was in the White House...

Oh, yes - this is such an outstanding programme, one that I miss when we are between series here in the UK. It has characters with whom one empathises naturally, good storylines, and positive education about US politics and civic society as it could be. When news of U.S. politics seems discouraging, you can always say "If only Jeb Bartlet was in the White House... ."

  • 4 hour stints are not uncommon...

TWW is far and away the best show to grace my screen for a while. Fast paced, witty, intellectual and most of all great acting. No headlines, just a great ensemble cast. Here in Australia they put it on late and in different time slots each week. It is a pain that we TWW fans have had to put up with. Now, I just borrow the DVDs and can't wait for another episode when one finsh's - 4 hour stints are not uncommon. What a great show - heres to a 3rd term!

  • The West Wing Day

The West Wing Day: finished summer exams at university and with an abundance of time before the inevitably upsetting results the West Wing season 1 was curiously flicked on. Five people gained and 16 hours later, with mattresses having been installed on the floor and a supply line of food and water established, it was reluctantly conceded that we had to leave Josh in the arms of the psychiatrist and drink to his wellbeing in the pub with the un-initiated and unloving masses from halls. We continued with a sore head the next day.

  • Leaves you breathless

TWW is categorically the most brilliant show on TV. It's funny, witty, moving, makes you think, makes you laugh and leaves you breathless ... with every episode. I can never get enough of TWW!

  • Certainly made me think

I wonder how many people have considered running for office after living in The West Wing - certainly made me think... Also made me go out and buy Ronny Jordan albums... CJ rocks!

  • Have these words ever been used?

Probably the greatest TV series of all time. Prides itself in being intelligent, warm, informative and moving - have these words ever been used for a mainstream TV show?? During it's first 4 seasons (the 'Sorkin' years as they have come to be known) NOTHING could touch it.
