When people ask what kind of builder I am, I say I'm a craftsman who works with wood. That's why Loewen Windows are at the heart of my projects. They're committed to wood. When they say their windows are like fine furniture they mean it. Loewen windows do more than let the outdoors in. Forget plasma realities and metal frames - windows are membranes of light and sound, they let us breathe what we see and sense what we hear. What really hooks me on these windows is a simple phrase: Old made new. Remember the square box houses we drew as kids. I dream those every day, and every day I dream about what makes a house into a home. And I dream of wooden windows.
