Chocolate Heaven
Chocolate Heaven - I was so thrilled to find this brand in my local health food shop in Australia and I’d developed a taste for the dark orange flavour in the UK. Great tasting chocolate and good quality; it travels well in a backpack and tends not to melt. I wish we had the small treat size packs out here too.

A staple!
Having the schedules we do, my boyfriend and I hardly ever eat at home. It’s usually a matter of meeting up in the city and having dinner together. Our fridge is pretty pathetic as well. The last time I looked (this morning), we had cheese, 2 bagels, orange juice and milk. However, my boyfriend has a rule in the house - no matter what happens, we shall always have a bar of Green & Blacks 70% Dark Chocolate in the house. He may not eat it everyday, but knowing that it’s there if he wants is comfort enough. A staple!

I love the bitter tang
Green & Black's Organic do make great chocolate which is in a different league, tastewise, to most other brands. I love the bitter tang, the lack of sugar packed in, the fact that a big bar can last a month and the fact that it is organic chocolate. However only the Maya Gold product is Fairtrade - the other flavours are not - and since the Cadbury take over, my love for Green & Black's Organic is waning.

Like dancing the Samba with an angel
This chocolate is not easy to find in the United States, but oh so worth the extra effort. Perfect chocolate - balance, smoothness, rich, but not overpowering. This chocolate is like dancing the Samba with an angel.

The perfect amount of bitterness
To me, everything about this chocolate for adults is right. From it's understated packaging and image, to the company ethics. When you bite into it you are rewarded with a sweetness that is tempered with the perfect amount of bitterness. Team that taste sensation with the knowledge that the product is organic, and that their cocoa farmers are getting paid just that little bit more, and not only is your mouth very happy, your conscience is appeased too. I also appreciate Green & Blacks marketing style, they haven't resorted to using cliched images of sex, girl power, grand parents sharing sweetie treats, or hippy farming communes to sell the chocolate. The main emphasis has always been upon flavour and quality and justifiably so, for a change. I'm not even a chocolate fan but I will happily scoff a bar of this stuff over the Sunday papers.
