The first issue of Kerrang!, a leading heavy music magazine, emerged in June of 1981. AC/DC's Angus Young adorned the cover, in classic schoolboy uniform-headbanging-guitar wielding guise.

Once merely a magazine
Kerrang (life is loud). Once merely a magazine, now it's moved onward and upward into a media centric environment adding radio stations, internet presence, tv channels and the ubiquitous branded mechandise spin offs. Instructing the kids today about the bands of tomorrow? or a mouth piece for the music industry to spew it's latest music fad's and fashions onto an innocent generation? Hated with a passion by some and loved by others - like me - to a similar degree Kerrang magazine has sculpted the way young people talk, dress, think and act. Whatever you think of the opinions in the tomb you can only agree that it's made a Mark on todays society.
