A quick recipe
I am a proud New Zealander now residing in Texas, U.S.A. I have always relied on my Edmonds Cook Book to see me through when I need a quick recipe. I just could not do without it. Beautifully illustrated and easy to make recipes. So pleased to see it is listed in Lovemarks. Wonderful symbol of my New Zealand!

Covers everything you need
Fantastic book! The majority of my recipes and cookery guidance comes from this book. It covers everything you need: cakes, dinners, puddings and more. Every home needs one.

Just like Gran used to make
I'm sure every Kiwi family has grown up with a well used Edmonds Cookbook, some being passed down the generations. In my family the pages for classic recipes like Fruit Crumble, Chocolate self saucing pudding , Ginger Gems and Coconut Ice were grubby from kids sticky fingers! I love my Edmonds (I have my own new copy now). I know I can rely on everything being tasty and 'Sure to Rise'. Even if the recipes aren't Nigella or Jamie, they are still tasty and reliable - just like Gran used to make.

Full of great surprises too!
This is a New Zealand icon - whether you're the fully trained chef living in Ponsonby or the 60 year old bachelor living in Invercargill, or the student flatting in Dunedin, chances are you'll have the Edmonds cookbook. It's straight down the line, reliable and yet full of great surprises too! I mean how many cookbooks these days will tell you how to boil an egg - genius! It's just part of being a kiwi, it's part of our growing history.
