This movie has been my favourite ever since
1972: Finally, Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was showing at our local picture theatre. Along with my brothers and sister, I got my ticket, I took my seat and waited in the dark, I was so excited my first time to a picture theatre The screen came alive and I was mesmerized. I was catapulted into a world of make believe and dreams. This movie has been my favourite ever since. I have seen it many times and it always takes me back to that time of innocence. I love this movie not only for the sheer enjoyment of the story but also because it takes me back to a place long gone. I did see and enjoy the ‘remake’ but it didn’t quite ‘capture’ me, I guess what they say is true, your first time is the most special!

The movie that I will remember forever. The music, the scences, the actors, fantastic! I also think the remake will be a success because Tim Burton and Johny Deep are Wonka fans too.

Haunted me since childhood
This movie has haunted me since childhood. I loved the music, costumes, set design, story, and performances. Bizarre, funny, touching, scary...the Oompa Loompas! Gene Wilder is genius!! At first I thought a remake would be an abomination but I'm willing to give Johnny Depp and Tim Burton a chance...
