Edgar Allan Poe
Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, editor and literary critic. He was considered part of the American Romantic Movement and is best known for his tales of mystery and the macabre. Poe is considered the inventor of the detective-fiction genre. His first published poem was "The Raven" in 1985.

Dark, romantic, tragic
Edgar Allan Poe is one of my all time favorite writers. I love his work because it's dark, romantic, tragic. Annabelle Lee is a great piece, in addition to all of his other well-known short stories and poems. His tragic death and short life also make a compelling story.
