Thank God for the re-runs

Some of the best ensemble acting ever; clever and detailed stories done in (less than) an hour. Thank God for the re-runs. This way there is at least one good thing to watch on TV almost every day, for those days when you need to just watch something that can keep your attention.

Every episode reaches someone

Law and Order, SVU, CSI; all fantastic crime dramas. People have a desire to watch the bad guys get their just desserts, and the good guys triumph. Law and Order does this perfectly. With characters that speak to the people, and DAs that talk circles around each other, every episode reaches someone. You can watch back-to-back episodes effortlessly. What keeps you glued? Is it the "doink doink" (in itself, almost a lovemark), is it Lenny's wisecracks, McCoy's late night moral dilemmae, Elliot's compassion, or is it the "ohhhh" that you let out every time they cut to commercial? Law and Order ranks among the best brand communities I know.
