  • I miss it so much

When I lived in Spain, this was our favourite place to go after dinner and strolling around Plaza del Sol in Madrid. I miss it so much, nothing in the US really matches up to the great selection they have of local and international music.

  • Voila...

For me Fnac sounds like LIDO or Bordeaux wine. It is so French. It is electronic technology, computers music and movies, even books in some stores in a French stylish way. Voila...

  • A place where culture happens

A specialist seller of books, CDs and videos, Fnac has around 60 shops all over France. Their main competitors are the big retailers like Carrefour that sell you everything from a pound of carrots to TV sets. They are renowned for being cheaper. Fnac, however, has managed to create a special climate in their stores and a pride in buying cultural products from them rather than from the big retailers. For me, a big part of their Lovemark status is the skill of their assistants. Basically they know about everything. So much so, it becomes like a challenge to question them about a field they don't know! Also, in every shop you will find a space dedicated to exhibitions or artist interviews or a showcase of come kind. This makes Fnac not just a place where culture is sold - but also a place where culture happens. With their advertising, Fnac manages to create a real closeness, with warmth and humanity.
