A dream to chase
One only has to drive this "mark" to the store for a quart of milk to understand why it alone defines a Lovemark. When you consider that there are less than 55,000 actual finished products of this Ferrari brand in the world but people all over the world will tell you of dreams about owning, or better yet, driving one of these beauties, you understand how it is on the Lovemark axis in the top right box. Yes, I have owned and driven a 550 Ferrari. The greatest part of that period was driving and having little boys with noses pushed up onto a window wave a thumbs-up as you flew by...and knowing they too now had decided on a dream to chase.

For me owning a Ferrari would be an expression of a passion. Not a passion for driving a beautiful, fast and expensive car, but a symbol of the passion I have for Scuderia Ferrari. Ferrari embodies the myth, the legend, the power and the glory of victory. They are more than mere cars, they are a way for a person to own a part of the Ferrari legend. Each curve and line has a history. Every engine roar is a voice of power and the scarlet of a properly adorned Ferrari is a flag of passion. No other marque represents all this.

Sorry to say this...
I'm sorry to say this, but the beauty of Ferrari's design and their wondrous performance is overshadowed by the fact that their owners tend to be guys whose ponytails are too long and shirts are unbuttoned too far down. Maybe the company doesn't intend for its clientele to be so tacky, but that doesn't stop the association of the brand (in my mind) with smarmy old men and blonde bimbos.
